Yesterday I finished the book, "Loving My Actual Life", by Alexandra Kuykendall.
It's a great little read. The author essentially takes on a bit of a happiness project in her own life by identifying one area that she would focus on each month for 9 months. For example, one month she focused on exercise, one month quiet time, one month was building relationships, meal planning, finances, etc.
The book is written sort of journal style ... after explaining what area she is working on and why, there would be journal entries covering how it went (or sometimes didn't) that day. She would wrap each month up by reviewing her progress, and what, if any, strategies she adopted that month that she would continue moving forward.
I thought this was a great way to stay present and grateful in your life, while at the same time making strides in areas that are important to you. I'm thinking about trying something similar for myself in 2017.
If you were to pick areas of your life to focus on what would they be?
Now that I am finished with the book, I am ready to pass it on! Comment here before the day is over (today is October 28th) and I'll do a drawing and mail the book to the winner!
