Are you a fan of open houses? Do you make them a part of your business plan for growing your business?

During our team meeting yesterday we talked a lot about open houses, and you could hear the collective groan around the room. Then we starting talking about the leads that we have gotten from open houses, and the leads that came from those leads. One of us counted 4 or 5 transactions and $80,000 in commission from one open house.

The most common complaints I hear (and I've said) about open houses are lack of traffic, unfriendly visitors, visitors giving "fake" information at registration, even safety concerns.

So how do you combat those? Let's focus on the good of the open house for a moment, the opportunities that can arise.
