I really like this quote/phrase ... Hustle beats talent when talent doesn't hustle. Isn't it so true? Especially in our industry.

I'm on my 14th year in real estate. I work hard, happily. I no longer have that worry if I'm going to "make it" in this business. I'm fortunate to have a very loyal customer and referral base. Since coming back to the field last June I feel a "calmness" about my business that I've never felt before, which is so refreshing.

All of these things are great, but they can also lead to complacency. You can get too comfortable. Stop learning. Stop growing. It can feel like you have everything figured out, but the truth is our business, our market, the way we communicate and reach those clients and prospects is constantly changing, constantly evolving. If we don't keep learning ourselves, making adjustments in our business, eventually, it will affect our business.

I get it, how are you going to keep learning and trying new things when you are already so busy? You have to make time. Schedule an appointment with yourself or others. This doesn't need to be an overwhelming task. Take a class at your brokerage or association level. Have a "mastermind" session with other agents. This can be a great way to learn new ideas and get to know each other.

We are getting close to 2000 women in the real estate industry from all over the country in this group! Start here, find a few women in your area and schedule a casual lunch or coffee for next week, or even a conference/FaceTime call with a few or even just a one on one conversation. Use the power of your network to learn and grow.
