When you are faced with challenges in your real estate business (or in life), do you focus on the limitations?
-This buyer is a waste of time, the property they are looking for doesn't exist.
-I can't _________________ (fill in the blank) because I'm ... too afraid, haven't done it before, might make a mistake, don't know how, comfortable.
What if instead, you look for solutions?
-That property may not exist in my marketplace, but what about an hour south of here, or in the neighboring State or County that is only about 30 minutes away?
-I could _________________ (fill in the blank) if I ... find a mentor, ask someone who has done it before, make a phone call, google it, put on my big girl pants.
What if instead, you look for opportunities?
-I know a great agent in the next town over where the buyer can find everything on their wish list. I'll set up a referral and an introduction. They will find the home they really want, I'll earn a referral fee and have more time to serve someone else.
-I can ___________________ (fill in the blank) because ... she did it before and look how well it turned out, the greatest reward comes from pushing through the fear, even if I make a "mistake" I will grow and learn something new.
Check your dialogue next time you are facing a challenge or an objection. Resist the urge to jump straight to the limitations, and instead focus on the solution or opportunity. I promise you, in every situation, they exist!
