"Go the extra mile, it's never crowded." - Never have I felt this to be more true than in the real estate industry. Sadly, sometimes it's not even about going the extra mile, it's doing the basics. Early on Friday afternoon I had to call a broker for a time sensitive issue with one of my agents. I called the office, called his cell phone twice, and left a somewhat detailed message. It is now Monday morning, and that person has still not returned my call. It never ceases to amaze me how many times over the past nearly 2 years I've experienced this. When I was selling I would experience it with other real estate "professionals" as well ... calls would go un-returned, emails not answered. The "basics" of the job weren't even done, much less the extra mile. Part of my objective with this group is to change that. Let's vow together to raise the bar, to go the extra mile, to not only do the "basics" exceptionally well, but to really go above and beyond with the service and level of expertise that we provide. Not only is this good for us (what a great feeling to know that you have really done your best for someone), but it is good for our clients, and we are setting a good example for our colleagues. Some of whom, really, really need it. Happy Monday, let's make it a great week!
