Do you have an intentional morning routine that helps to prepare you for the day? Everyone has a morning routine ... from the regular time you get up to the order in which you get ready, eat breakfast, etc. What I'm talking about today is intentional time in the morning to help prepare yourself mentally/physically/spiritually for the day. I certainly don't consider myself a morning person, but over the past year I have really come to value - come to NEED - some quiet time in the morning. With school starting next week it is going to look a bit different than it did over the summer. I'll have "my" time for coffee, some reading and some writing on the front porch, then big kids (they are 10 and 8) up at 6:30 and on the bus between 6:50-6:55, get myself ready for the day, then get my preschooler up by 8, and dropped at school by 8:30, at which time I will head into the office. I've always checked email first thing in the morning, but I am trying to make a conscious effort NOT to do that until I get to the office. If something is urgent, my agents call or text me in the morning and that works well. I've found that once I start down the rabbit hole of email, the path of my day usually changes. How about you, what is your morning routine?
