When I was a new agent back in 2002, I received a lot of advice from colleagues. Some of that advice proved to be incredibly useful (and accurate) and I have used it and shared it again and again in my career. Things like, preview to get to know the market to increase your knowledge and confidence, everything (personal or work related) is an “appointment”, and your clients don’t need to know which is which, and the importance of setting expectations with your clients from the very beginning. In a few weeks my fall new agent training class will be starting again. During one of the first couple sessions I teach a class called, “You Have Your License, Now What”, where I share this advice, as well as other tips, tricks and best practices that I have learned along the way. I know that we have a lot of new/newer women to the real estate industry who are a part of this group, so tell us … what is the best advice you received when entering the real estate industry?
